Age and Driver’s License for Cars
- The driver must be at least 21 years old and under 75, holding a valid driver's license issued at least one year before the rental date.
- For any other age group, there is an extra 10€/day cost. The driver must still hold a valid driver's license issued at least one year before the rental date, and the only available car categories are A and B.
- An international driver’s permit (IDP) may be required if the license is not in English.
Age and Driver’s License for Scooters
- The driver must be at least 21 years old and under 75, holding a valid driver's license issued at least one year before the rental date.
- All drivers must have previous experience driving a scooter or motorcycle and a valid motorcycle-class driving license. If you don't have the appropriate experience driving with a backseat passenger, it is not safe to start practicing during one's holiday.
For the EU drivers
- a scooter up to 50cc requires your driving license to have the AM category or higher
- a scooter up to 125cc requires your driving license to have the A1 category or higher
without the restriction codes 79.03, 79.04, 79(3), 79(4), 79(2)

Rental Period
- The rental period is calculated on a 24-hour basis.
- Late returns beyond the agreed rental period may incur additional charges.
Payment and Deposit
- No deposit is required for scooters and most cars in categories A, B & C.
- For some specific models, the renter must provide a €600 excess deposit unless an additional insurance option is purchased.
- The amount of the excess is refunded if there are no reasons for partial or total withholding, such as damage or fines from traffic violations.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 7 days or more before the rental start date will receive a full refund.
- Late cancellations or no-shows may result in partial or no refund.
Insurance
- Basic insurance coverage is included in the rental price.
- Additional insurance packages (such as Collision Damage Waiver or Full Damage Waiver) can be purchased for extra protection.
- The insurance of the vehicle does not cover damages or civil liabilities caused when the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It does not cover damage caused by an unauthorized driver, damage to the interior of the vehicle, or damages resulting from an accident where the company and the police were not notified at the time of the incident.
- It also does not cover damage caused while the vehicle was illegally parked, damages resulting from violations of the Greek Traffic Code, or damage caused by dangerous, intentional, or negligent driving. Damage to the engine caused by using the wrong fuel or by the actions or negligence of the driver/renter is not covered, nor are damages occurring after the agreed return time.
- The insurance does not cover damage to exterior mirrors, tires, rims, hubcaps, the underside of the vehicle, or the antenna. It also excludes damage caused intentionally or by recklessness, such as clutch wear, tire wear, or damage to the hood, trunk, or roof (for example, caused by someone sitting or standing on them).
- Loss of personal belongings is not covered. The loss, damage, or theft of vehicle keys, child seats, the jack, safety triangle, spare tire, fuel cap, or any other accessories or extras provided by the rental company is also excluded.
- Partial or total theft in cases where the theft was caused by the renter’s negligence (such as leaving or losing the key) is not covered. Insurance does not cover traffic fines or any other legal penalties.
Traffic Violations
- The renter is responsible for any traffic fines or violations incurred during the rental period.
Vehicle Condition
- The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as when it was rented, excluding normal wear and tear. Damages caused by negligence or accidents may result in additional charges.
- If the car is returned excessively dirty beyond normal use, the renter will be charged €50 + VAT for cleaning.
Fuel Policy
- The renter must return the vehicle with the same fuel level as delivered.
- If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged for the difference.
Restrictions
- Vehicles may not be used for off-road driving, racing, or towing.
- Vehicles are not allowed to be ferried or cross the Greek borders unless permitted in writing by AutoWay.
- Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
Additional Drivers
- Any additional drivers must be registered at the time of rental and meet the same requirements as the main driver.
- The first additional driver is provided free of charge.
Pets
- Pets are allowed only in a pet carrier.
- Otherwise, the renter must provide a pet car seat cover or include one in the booking.
- If this rule is violated, a charge of €200 + VAT will apply for cleaning and disinfection.
General Terms
- The company is not responsible for any loss or damage of personal items.
- The company reserves the right to cancel the rental agreement without consequences if the renter is considered harmful to the company’s interests or violates traffic laws or rental terms.
- The company also reserves the right to modify rental terms or charges without prior notice.
